Balranald Art Gallery

Known as ‘”The Gallery”, the Balranald Art Gallery has been established for over thirty seven years. Originally the Masonic Lodge, the building dates back to 1880 and is one of the oldest buildings still standing in Balranald, south west NSW. This unique building houses a large permanent art collection that has been acquired by the Balranald Shire Council. Art, sculpture and photography exhibitions are held throughout the year along with travelling exhibitions and are key attractions for visitors and locals alike.
Workshops and childrens holiday programs are organised periodically and are very popular and successful.
Some of the artists featured at the Balranald Art Gallery include Jan Lawler, Mary Briggs, Catherine Stewart, Val Stamation, Errol Bradbury and Robyn Davis.
The Balranald Art Gallery is open daily from 10am-4pm, depending on availability of volunteers.
